MyPasswordOrganizer Help

What do I need to get started?

All you need is a Mac, iPad® or iPhone® and the MyPasswordOrganizer app! (Mobile app coming soon)

How do I add an entry?

Click on the blue plus “+” icon to create a new entry. Begin by providing the name of the entry (required) then fill out any additional fields that are appropriate for the entry. Click “Add” to save your progress and add the entry to the list.

Note: Multiple entries with the exact same name is not allowed.

I need to edit one of my entries! How do I do that?

It’s easy! Select an entry from the list, then click “Edit”. Make the changes needed to the information of the entry, then click “Update”.

How do I delete an entry?

First, select an entry from the list. Then click “Edit”, then click “Delete”.

Okay, I have entered all of my accounts. What else do I need to know?

A complete list of your entries can be seen on the left side of the window. Click on an entry in the list to see its information displayed on the right side of the window. Click on a letter in the alphabet list to jump to entries that start with that letter. At the bottom of the list, you’ll see a number representing the total number of entries in the app.

I’m old school and want a physical book of my accounts and passwords. Is that possible?

You bet! One of the best aspects of MyPasswordOrganizer is the print feature which allows you to easily print a physical copy of your password book in two different sizes and two unique styles. To get started, export a PDF by clicking “Export” then select the book size and style:

Half Page > Cut: This layout organizes your entries onto pages that measure 5.5″ x 8.5″, with two pages per 11″ x 8.5″ sheet of paper.

Step 1: Print using a two-sided print setting with short side binding.

Step 2: Cut each sheet of paper in half.

Step 3: Hole punch the long edge, alphabetize the pages, then insert into a small binder.

Half Page > Fold: This layout organizes your entries onto pages that measure 5.5″ x 8.5″, with two pages per 11″ x 8.5″ sheet of paper.

Step 1: Print using a two-sided print setting with short side binding.

Step 2: Fold each sheet of paper in half.

Step 3: Alphabetize the pages then staple along the fold.

Quarter Page > Cut: This layout organizes your entries onto pages that measure 4.25″ x 5.5″, with four pages per 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of paper.

Step 1: Print using a two-sided print setting with long side binding.

Step 2: Cut each sheet of paper into quarters.

Step 3: Alphabetize the pages then hole punch and add a bookbinding comb or spine.

Is my information secure? Who has access to it?

All of the information entered into MyPasswordOrganizer is stored locally on your device and only you have access to it – just like Apple’s Keychain Access. Additional security features coming soon:

  • iCloud sync between devices.
  • Lock the application with your Master Password, Passcode, Face ID or Touch ID for added peace of mind.

Is there a limit to the number of entries? Will I be charged a subscription?

Nope and nope! There is no limit to the number of entries you can have. Buy it once, use it forever.

Help! I clicked “Deny” when prompted to allow access to the keychain and now all of my entries are blank!

Don’t worry! All of the information for your entries are still safely stored on your computer. To restore access, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Quit MyPasswordOrganizer.
  • Step 2: Restart your computer.
  • Step 3: Launch MyPasswordOrganizer.
  • Step 4: When prompted to allow access to the keychain, click “Always Allow”.

What features are planned for the future?

Just a few of the features we’re planning to incorporate into the app include:

  • iPhone® and iPad® versions.
  • Search feature.
  • iCloud sync – Syncs your data across Mac, iPhone and iPad using your iCloud account.
  • Utilize Apple’s AutoFill system to quickly sign-in to websites and apps without browser extensions.
  • Lock the app* with your Master Password, Passcode, Face ID or Touch ID for added peace of mind (*optional).
  • Generate strong, secure and unique passwords for your online accounts.
